Introduction
LeedAB Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") operates the LeedAB platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using our Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account information: email address and name when you create an account or sign in
- Waitlist and sales enquiries: your email address, and, if you contact sales, your name, company, job title, team size, and message
- Content: trade records, contracts, letters of credit, bills of lading, certificates, invoices, messages, and other material you upload, generate, or connect
- Connected accounts: emails, WhatsApp messages, and other data from services you connect, which may include personal data about your counterparties and colleagues
- Communications: information you provide when you contact us for support
- Payment information: billing details processed securely through Stripe
When you connect third-party services, we collect OAuth credentials and the minimum data necessary to provide the integration. We automatically collect usage data, device information, and log data (IP address, access times, referring URLs) when you use the Service.
On our public website (leedab.com) we also measure page interactions first-party: pages viewed, scroll depth, clicks, and visit duration. We use your network address transiently, during the request only, to identify the visiting company through IPinfo, our business lookup provider; the address is discarded immediately after the lookup, is never stored with the interaction data, and we do not identify individual visitors. We process this on the lawful basis of our legitimate interest in understanding business demand for our products. You can object to this processing at any time by contacting us at the address in the Contact section below.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and protect the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect core functionality.

- Manage the waitlist, grant access, and respond to sales enquiries
- Process transactions and send related information
- Send technical notices, updates, and administrative messages

Google API Services
LeedAB's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only access Google user data necessary to provide and improve the Service
- We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes
- We do not sell Google user data to third parties
- We do not use Google user data for purposes unrelated to the Service
- Human access to Google user data is limited to necessary personnel for support or legal compliance
AI Models and Data Retention
To answer questions and generate outputs, we send the relevant content to an open-weight AI model served through a private inference provider. We do not send customer content to other AI model providers. We do not sell customer content, use workspace data to train models, or permit our inference provider to retain customer content for its own training. We configure and contract for limited use: data is processed only to provide the Service and is not retained beyond what is necessary to complete the request, maintain security, or comply with law. Human access is restricted to cases you authorize, support you request, security review, or legal compliance.
Counterparty Data
Content you connect or upload often contains personal data about people outside your organisation, such as contacts at counterparties, agents, and banks. We process that data on your behalf to provide the Service. When you share information through the counterparty portal, the people you invite can see what you share with them.
How We Share Your Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who perform services on our behalf (hosting, payment processing)
- When required by law or to respond to legal process
- To protect the rights, property, and safety of LeedAB, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
- When you direct us to share information with third parties, including counterparties you invite to the portal or message through the Service
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Customer Data and Local Mode
If you use LeedAB in local mode, some data may remain on infrastructure you control. You are responsible for the security, backups, access permissions, and lawful processing of data stored in your own environment. Cloud features, support, billing, and connected integrations may still send limited data to LeedAB or our service providers as needed to operate the Service. If you connect your own AI tools in local mode, those tools process data under your own agreements with their providers.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure authentication mechanisms, regular security assessments, and access controls limiting employee access to personal data.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your data at any time. We will delete or anonymise your information within 30 days of your request, unless we are legally required to retain it.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: request deletion of your data
- Portability: request a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent: disconnect third-party services at any time
- Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing communications
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@leedab.com or through your account settings.
Regional Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, or other U.S. states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or appeal certain processing of your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Controller and Processor Roles
For account, billing, website, and support data, LeedAB generally acts as a controller. For content processed on behalf of a customer workspace, LeedAB generally acts as a processor or service provider under that customer's instructions. Enterprise customers may request a data processing addendum where required.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in compliance with applicable data protection laws. Enterprise customers may agree specific data residency terms with us in writing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
